Two Guys - Episode 179
Two upstate New York area musicians who have been in the capital region music scene for over 20 years have joined together to form Two Guys, a unique indie-folk duo. Eric Braymer who was previously the bandleader and songwriter of the modern rock trio SpineCar performs lead vocals and acoustic guitars while Ron Burris, the former drummer and leader of Sub Atomic Genius, The Red Line and the roots-rock band Sumac, provides the pulsing rhythm, drums and harmony vocals. After years of the heavy rock music scene, both Ron and Eric are excited to have created a new sound that is stripped down to the basics and challenges what they have learned from their wide ranging and eclectic musical pasts. Two Guys' original sound has been described as modern indie-folk rock, attributable to the distinct vocals and harmonies supported by intricate and dreamy finger-style guitars and brash scrappy drum beats to fill out the sound in a unique way. While playing a daytime gig at a local record store, Two Guys met Wreckless Eric - a renowned British Rock Icon - who wrote the 1977 hit "Whole Wide World" and immediately took an interest in the unique sound of Two Guys. He is currently producing their first full length album due to be released later in the spring of 2013. With many new original songs and an interesting blend of Two Guys' versions of cover songs from the past and present, Two Guys are ready to entertain and share their music with the world.
